Working for United Learning, the Grade II Listed building required asbestos removal, conservation repairs, and refurbishment works to the slated roofs due to major water ingress into the school. Works commenced during school term time, so tight communication between the school and the site team was essential. The enclosed asbestos removal within the roof void was handled out of hours and planned meticulously to maintain Health & Safety.

Out-of-hours asbestos removal within the roof voids
Full strip, re-felt and batten, and re-slate to 8 separate roofs using Green Westmorland slate, all fully copper nailed; eaves, verges, and tops all bedded with lime mortar
Restore all cast rainwater goods and redecorate
New lead soakers, flashings, and valleys
New Code 7 Lead pediment roof to BS6915 as RP standard
New lead aprons to Listed Bell Tower
Repointing and re-flaunching of chimneys with lime mortar
